The Child Protection Working Group (CPWG) is the meeting point for child protection actors at the global level, and an “area of responsibility” under the Global Protection Cluster. The other areas of responsibilities under the protection cluster are: Gender-based violence, housing land and property issues, mine action, and rule of law . It is the mechanism through which child protection in emergencies is coordinated within the inter-agency humanitarian system.
Member agencies commit resources and staff time to CPWG work. Additionally ECHO, DFID, NORAD, DANIDA, SIDA and SDA have contributed funds for work plan initiatives and the staffing of the coordination function.
If you wish to support and contribute to the work of the CPWG as an individual, please visit our member agencies below. If you are part of a donor organisation or other agency, please contact Katy Barnett, CPWG Coordinator at email@example.com.
